Types of Food License in Punjab for FBOs

FSSAI Basic registration

FSSAI State License
FBOs with an annual income ranging from Rs 12 lacs – 20 crores must apply for this license.
FSSAI Central License
FBOs with an annual income exceeding the maximum threshold i.e. Rs 20 crores are mandatorily required to secure this permit.
Online Process to Secure Food License In Punjab
- Visit the online portal viz. FoSCoS and login if required
- Head to the top menu and select “New Application”.
- Select the business type from the options: trader, manufacturer, and service provider
- Select the area of operation that follows turnover criteria. This action will lead you to an e-form.
- Fill out the e-form with information relating to the business such as CIN, GST, etc.
- Enter the food types, and standards being followed, if required.
- Upload the documents as cited in the next section.
- Head to the payment page for fee submission.
The document and e-form will redirected to the FSSAI’s concerned department for inspection. Based on the assessment, the authority will decide whether or not to grant the license to the applicant.
